Anna Venezia is a photographer and painter based in France. Her commissioned photography work spans portraiture, lifestyle, food and hospitality, events and other creative projects, while her personal practice moves between photography, painting and drawing.

Her work moves between still life, landscape, and portraiture, often lingering in the space where things feel familiar but slightly off. She’s interested in the slippery nature of time, the half-truths of memory, and the strange psychology of everyday life. Her process is part observation, part instinct, and part “let’s see what happens if I do this.” The work is subtle, a little strange, and always looking sideways.

Alongside her personal practice, Anna takes on commissioned projects for individuals, businesses, musicians and organizations. Her experience includes everything from children’s book illustrations to photo editing and retouching, where her vision is shaped and honed to meet the specific needs of each project.

FAQs

Where do you offer photography sessions?
I’m based in Nice and work throughout the Côte d’Azur, including Villefranche-sur-Mer, Antibes, Cannes, Saint-Paul-de-Vence and surrounding areas. Travel outside Nice is subject to a surcharge.

What languages do you speak?
I’m a native English speaker and can direct photo shoots in English, French, Czech and Italian.

What kinds of photography do you offer?
My commissioned work includes creative portraits, couples and lifestyle photography, professional headshots, food and hospitality photography, and other creative projects for individuals and businesses.

Do you offer food and restaurant photography?
Yes. I photograph food, chefs, restaurants, cafés and hospitality spaces, with a focus on creating images that capture both the food itself and the atmosphere surrounding it.

I’m not comfortable in front of the camera. Can you help with posing?
Absolutely. You don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll give you simple direction throughout the session while leaving room for natural movement and spontaneity.

Can you photograph something more unusual or creative?
Yes. I enjoy projects that fall outside a standard photography brief, whether that means working with an artist or musician, creating editorial imagery, or developing a particular visual concept.
